Salome was admitted to the Nigerian Bar and qualified to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2005. She has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Jos.

Salome has practiced as a State Counsel, in the course of which she served on several Government committees, drafting and proposing legislations towards a modern and effective Judicial system. Thereafter, she joined the Global Law Alliance Law firm and was the Head of its Commercial Department while also serving as the Head of Chambers. She is an active member of; Nigerian Bar Association; International Bar Association and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Nigeria.

Her practice areas include litigation, maritime law, corporate finance, power, utility and infrastructure and she is a member of Rotary International
